What can you measure?
TypeRush measures how fast and accurately you type against a stream of common English words, over a 15, 30, 60, or 120 second run you choose. It reports your WPM (words per minute, based on correctly typed characters), raw WPM (including mistakes), accuracy, and a breakdown of correct versus incorrect words.
How it works
The timer starts the moment you type your first character. Press space after each word to move to the next one — mistakes are highlighted in red so you can see exactly where you went wrong. Everything runs directly in your browser; nothing you type is ever uploaded.

Is this free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up and no limit on how many tests you run.
Do you store what I type?
No. The test runs entirely client-side in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded or stored.
How is WPM calculated?
WPM is your count of correctly typed characters divided by 5 (the standard word length), divided by the test duration in minutes. Raw WPM uses the same formula but counts all characters typed, including mistakes.
How is accuracy calculated?
Accuracy is the percentage of typed characters that matched the target text: correct characters divided by total characters typed (correct plus incorrect).
Can I change the test duration?
Yes. Pick 15, 30, 60, or 120 seconds from the dropdown before you start typing.
