GPA Calculator

Calculate your weighted GPA on the standard 4.0 scale. Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is ever uploaded.

Course Grade Credit hours

What can you calculate?

GradePoint computes your overall grade point average, weighted by credit hours, from as many courses as you add. Enter a letter grade and the credit hours for each course. The course name field is optional and just for your own reference.

How it works

Every calculation runs directly in your browser using plain arithmetic. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works even offline once the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up and no limit on how many calculations you run.

Do you store what I type?

No. Every calculation happens entirely client-side in your browser. See the privacy policy for details.

How is GPA calculated?

Each letter grade converts to grade points on a 4.0 scale, gets multiplied by that course's credit hours, and the results are summed and divided by your total credit hours. A credit-weighted average, not a simple average of letter grades.

Does this match my school's exact GPA scale?

It uses the most common US 4.0 scale (A = 4.0 down to F = 0.0 in thirds of a point). Some schools weight honors or AP courses differently, or use a slightly different scale. Check your registrar's official scale if you need an exact figure.
