What can you calculate?

BMICheck calculates Body Mass Index from your height and weight, in either metric (centimeters and kilograms) or imperial (feet/inches and pounds) units, then shows the standard WHO weight category — underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese — plus the healthy weight range for your height.

How it works

Every calculation runs directly in your browser using the standard BMI formula — nothing is sent to a server, so it works even offline once the page has loaded. BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnosis; see the FAQ below for its limits.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up and no limit on how many calculations you run.

Do you store what I enter?

No. Every calculation happens entirely client-side in your browser. See the privacy policy for details.

How is BMI calculated?

BMI is weight divided by height squared (kg/m² in metric, or weight in pounds divided by height in inches squared, multiplied by 703, in imperial). The same standard formula used by the WHO and CDC.

Is BMI an accurate health measure?

BMI is a quick screening tool, not a diagnosis. It doesn't distinguish muscle from fat, so it can be misleading for athletes, and it's less accurate for children, pregnant people, and older adults. Talk to a healthcare provider for a full picture.
